Aborigines live in every country in the world. Such ancient people are usually short-dressed. Many of them are reluctant to come to the cutting edge of the world. Every country cohorts have its own festivals and celebrations. But why do such celebrations in the Philippines attract the attention of the whole world? Some naked-themed events are even used to promote causes and advocacies, while others are meant to commemorate important events. 

1 . The Oblation Run

Sometimes referred to as the “Ritual Dance of the Brave,” the Oblation Run is an annual event organized by a few Filipino chapters of the Alpha Phi Omega (APO) fraternity in universities throughout the Philippines. It involves a group of young men (although recently a number of unidentified women have joined the parade) who run naked around campus handing roses to female spectators.

2 . Panagbenga

 Panagbenga, which means “season of blooming” in the Kankanaey language, is Baguio City’s annual flower festival held every February. Known for its vibrant street dances, floral floats, and festive atmosphere, Panagbenga is one of the most anticipated festivals in the Philippines.

3 .  Kadayawan

A famous festival in Davao City, Kadayawan Festival is an annual month-long celebration of basically everything about life — from nature and harvest to culture and tradition. During the festivities, different communities in Mindanao showcase their heritage through street dancing in vibrant costumes.

4 . Banigan-Kawayan 

Banigan-Kawayan Festival celebrates local crafts banig (hand-woven mat) and the kawayan (bamboo) in Basey, Samar. Expect to see these crafts being showcased at the annual street dance parade.

5 . Sandugo

The festival includes a reenactment of this iconic moment, street dancing, and various cultural activities that showcase the province’s rich history and heritage, attracting visitors from across the Philippines and contributing to the local economy.
